Back Again

I've been away for so long that it almost feels weird posting on DE. Hopefully I'll feel comfortable very fast so I can start posting regularly again ;) There were many reasons behind my long hiatus, the main one being that I was bored to death by the stuff coming out in the last 2 years. It seems like there is a recipe out there and everyone is following it, quite frankly except for some flashes of brilliance (mainly dubstep, deep-minimal house, Acid Jazz and some interesting house remixes) house music has become redundant. In order to find good stuff I had to go through tons of shitty material and it became too time-consuming for me.

Anyway, I'll be back from time to time with stuff that sounds a little different or things that I find cool. I think Darryl, eSc and Steve are very good at what they do, so I'll try to be different.

One of the thing I find cool these days, is when they use jazzy samples or melodies with House Music. This is the case for the next three tunes.

Parov Stelar - The Paris Swing Box
I dig Acid Jazz a lot so I love Parov Stelar, but this time he made a foray into house music with this nice tune, it's not something for the club, but it sounds different.

Paul Carpenter - Minnie The Moocher (Original)
Cab Calloway would be proud to hear this rendition of his song ;)

Shemian - Jazz & Shreedy's (Original Mix)

Welcome back Doc :)
I really liked Parov Stelars last Album, especially "Your Man" and I would recommend you Chilly Gonzales new Album "Ivory Tower".And for the techno/minimal part Ostbahnhof is a series of mixes from Germany which I really like
